Patriot Athlete of the Week: Eddie Rice
It's another Monday, and that means we have another Patriot Auto Group Area Athlete of the Week, powered by Tri County Tech.
This week, we head to Dewey and feature two-sport athlete Eddie Rice.
Rice wrapped up his senior season on the football field in the fall and is midway through his final baseball season this spring. Rice talks about his experience on the baseball field this season.
Rice is one of eight seniors on this year's baseball team. He talks about getting to play with his fellow seniors and what's been working for the team this season.
The Bulldoggers pulled off one of the most incredible comeback wins of the season almost two weeks ago in a 13-12 win over Metro Christian.
Rice says he wants to play baseball in college and wants to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.
Dewey enters another district series on Monday and Tuesday for a chance to take the top spot in their district. The Bulldoggers meet Victory Christian. Both teams have a 7-1 district record. Dewey is 17-4 overall.
