Playoff Football in Northeast Oklahoma

Plenty of high school football on Friday with playoff spots on the line, here is a quick rundown of the influential games:

Dewey, Nowata, Caney Valley and Oklahoma Union are all playing their final games of the season tomorrow.

Those clubs have been eliminated from postseason contention.

Teams that have clinched a spot already:

Wesleyan Christian School is vying for the two-seed in Class C District 3, the Mustangs get it with a win at home against Coyle. Lose and they are the three-seed.

Barnsdall is on the road at Yale. The Panthers will be the three-seed out of Class B District 7 with a win and the four seed with a loss. Sixth time in the past eight seasons Kylee Sweeney’s club is in the playoffs.

Pawhuska could finish anywhere from 2nd to 4th in 2A District 8 depending how the Huskies and others fair on Friday night. Pawhuska is at Rejoice Christian in another tough one at the end of the season. You can watch on KPGMTV.com.

Bartlesville goes to Tahlequah, with a win the Bruins host a playoff game, with a loss, BHS will have to go on the road. You can watch on KWONTV.com.

And Copan is the only team on the bubble:

Hornets host Oaks on Friday - win and they’re in - lose and Copan would need help from Wilson to get its first playoff berth since 2009.
