Stacy Talks Copan End of Season
As the postseason rolls on some solid area teams will have their run come to an end. The Copan boys fell on Friday night in the first round of Class B Districts, a two-point loss at the hands of Welch.
The loss ended the Hornets season.
It was an upset for a Copan team that finished the year 10-games above .500. Internally there was belief within the program that the Hornets could make a run in the postseason.
Head coach Kolton Stacy says the loss hurts, but the program’s foundation is being laid.
Copan graduates three seniors and two that play off this past year’s club. There should be a big returning junior class next season.
