Two Eagles Grab Conference Honors
Two Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles have been named Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Players’ of the week this week with Derrick Talton Jr. and Jaden Lietzke grabbing the honors. This is the third straight-week that an Eagle has grabbed these honors, and Talton’s second week in a row.
For the Eagles last week, they went 2-0 with wins over Ottawa 84-67 and Saint Mary, 76-64. In the two wins, Lietzke averaged 21.5 ppg and 11.5 rpg and grabbed two double-doubles.
For Talton, he averaged 17.5 ppg, 7 apg, and 9.5 rpg and grabbed his first double-double of the season. Eagles sit at 21-1, 14-1 in conference, and are riding a 13-game win streak as they head to Southwestern College Wednesday night.
