WCS Eyes Home Playoff Game

One area football team that has sewed up a playoff spot in Class C District 3 is Wesleyan Christian School.

The Mustangs are in for the fourth straight season.

WCS beat Watts 50-0 in a shortened game to clinch a spot this past weekend.

It was a nearly two-hour bus ride to play on the road against a team that still had a shot at the playoffs.

WCS head coach Curt Cloud says the Mustangs were solid in every facet this past Friday.

Aden Hart had more than 100 yards rushing and three touchdowns at the running back spot. Cloud says he thought this was Hart’s first 100-yard rushing night. Quarterback Tyrel Cloud ran for more than 100 yards. The Mustangs scored quickly and were efficient on offense.

This Friday night Wesleyan plays Coyle for the right to have a home playoff game for the third year in a row.

The game won’t be easy. Coyle and Wesleyan Christian are tied for second place in C-3, both with a 5-1 record.

Kael Siemers is scheduled to be back at the wide receiver spot for WCS, who has missed the past few weeks with a leg issue. Cloud says he hopes the Mustang’s injury woes are over at a good time.

A 7:00 kick off of Silver Lake in Bartlesville on Friday night, winner gets the two-seed in the District and a home playoff game the week following. Loser is the three-seed and will go on the road.
