If your phone has ever insisted your car's extended warranty is about to expire, or that a mysterious prince desperately needs your bank account, this event is for you. ElderCare will host a free presentation, "Cons, Frauds, & Scams," featuring KOTV News On 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright on Thursday, July 9, at 1 p.m. at ElderCare, 1223 Swan Drive in Bartlesville. Fullbright will break down some of today's most common scams, explain how criminals target victims, and share practical tips to help people recognize warning signs before they become the next cautionary tale.

Attendees will learn how to better protect their personal information through real-world examples and straightforward advice that can help keep both themselves and their loved ones safe. The event is free to attend, but organizers encourage anyone interested to reserve a ticket in advance. For more information, call ElderCare at 918-336-8500 or visit abouteldercare.org. Remember, if someone claims you can only pay a bill with gift cards, congratulations, you've just found today's first red flag.
