Bruin Tennis Successful at Home Quad

BHS tennis had a home quad last night, as Ponca City and some other schools were in town for a four-team round robin.

The girls went 9-3, powered by a 2-0 day from No. 1 singles star Abby Shelley.

The Bruin guys also went 9-3 in their 12 matchups. Highlight for the Bruin boys were the No. 2 doubles squad of Rylan Green and Karson Proctor, who both went 3-0 against their competition.

Girls

Abby Shelley went 2-0 on the day (Ponca default so no 3rd match).

Sophie Kelly was 1-1 in singles and 1-0 with Kayleigh Khan in doubles.

Claire Auschwitz and Ava Kate Craig lost a close match to undefeated Bishop Kelley but finished the day 2-1 overall.

Dani Rodgriguez and Kayleigh Khan went 1-1 with a close loss to BK.
 
Ava Dennis was 1-0 in a win over Ponca for our Senior "Night" match. 
 
Boys
 
Nick Du was 2-1 on the day playing singles.
 
Elijah Burchett picked up a win against Muskogee and was 1-0 on the day.
 
Hunter Breslin was 1-1 in singles as well. 
 
Carson Covington and Johnny Colmenero were 2-1 on the day with a 3 set loss to BK. 
 
Rylan Green and Karsten Proctor were 3-0 on the day at 2 doubles.
