Huskies Get Exciting OT Win Against Woodland

The Pawhuska Huskies knew they would be in for a battle on Monday night when the Woodland Cougars came to town. It ended up being a fight that needed more than four quarters to settle, but Pawhuska came out on top in overtime, 44-38.

The Huskies led consistently in the first half, as they took a 20-17 lead into the halftime break. The Pawhuska offense sputtered in the third quarter, though and Woodland led it 24-23 going into the final frame. The Cougars held a three-point lead inside the final minute when senior Trenton Miles made this clutch shot to send the game to overtime.

Miles continued his hot shooting in the overtime period, as this three-pointer gave the Huskies an early led and from there, Pawhuska never looked back.

Dax Godsey and Miles finished in double figures for Pawhuska.

The Lady Huskies played well from start to finish in a 51-19 win over Woodland. To add on to the excitement, junior Hannah Reynolds scored her 1,000th career point as a Lady Husky.

Fallon Bowman and Reynolds each finished the game in double figures.

After a busy week last week, Pawhuska now gets a chance to rest when they play at Dewey. That is a game you can hear on Sportstalk KPGM FM 99.1 and KPGMTV.com.
