Huskies Ready for First Road Test at Meeker
The Pawhuska Huskies had a good start to the 2025 season by getting a convincing district win over the Nowata Ironmen. Now their attention shifts to non-district action and it starts with a game at Meeker on Friday night.
The Bulldogs hosted Chandler in a scrimmage last week at Meeker. Huskies coach Matt Hennesy said with them staying conservative, it makes it difficult knowing what they might throw at Pawhuska come game night.
At just over two hours, the game at Meeker will be the longest road trip of the season for Pawhuska. Hennesy says with this being his eighth year at the helm, his team should be prepared for the business trip that lies ahead.
Pawhuska will kickoff against Meeker at 7 p.m. Friday's broadcast can be heard on Sportstalk KPGM FM 99.1 and streaming on KPGMTV.com.
