Ironmen Fall Short Against Fairland
The Nowata Ironmen were also in Pawhuska taking on Fairland for an opportunity at a trip to the regional championship game. The Ironmen fell short, losing to the Owls, 63-47.
It was a game that Nowata got down early and the Ironmen were never able to recover. Nowata trailed 34-20 at halftime and in the second half, they got it to within ten points once.
This good ball movement from Nowata midway through the third quarter kept the Ironmen within striking distance.
Talon Thompson led the way for the Ironmen in scoring.
