John Mateer to Miss Time After Hand Surgery
Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer is expected to miss about a month after suffering a hand injury against Auburn on Saturday, and undergoing surgery on Wednesday, according to ESPN.
The Sooners are currently 4-0 on the season after a narrow win over Auburn to get their first SEC win in Norman.
Michael Hawkins, Jr. is slated to start OU's next game against Kent State this coming Saturday in Norman.
The Sooners kick off at 3 p.m. against the Golden Flashes.
