Nowata Football Looking to End Season on High Note
The Nowata Ironmen got their biggest win of the season this past Friday as they won at home for senior night at Ironmen Memorial Stadium over the Salina Wildcats, 20-16. This was another revenge game for Head Coach Chance Juby where they beat a team in his second season that they had lost to in 2022, with Chelsea in Week zero being the other.
For Nowata, they have already doubled their win total from last season to this season as they sit at 4-5 overall and 2-4 in district play. Nowata Head Coach Chance Juby talks about the big win over the Wildcats.
The current group of seniors for Nowata has had some tough losing seasons over the last couple of years, as this seasons win total is the highest it’s been for the Ironmen since 2019.
Coach Juby talks about how huge that win was for his senior class.
Nowata will next try to finish out the season on a high note by getting to .500 as they head to Adair to take on the Warriors Friday night at 7 pm.
