Oklahoma State football coach Mike Gundy was fired on Tuesday morning. Gundy was in his 21st season as head coach of the Cowboys, but had went 4-11 in his past 15 games. Later in the day, Athletic Director Chad Weiberg gave a press conference thanking Gundy for his year's of service to the program.

With conference play opening on Saturday against Baylor, Weiberg announced that Doug Meacham will serve as the offensive coordinator and long time strength and conditioning coach Rob Glass will oversee the program as a whole on a day-to-day basis. Weiberg talked about what that will look like.

Weiberg goes on to talk about what he will be looking for when interviewing candidates to be the next head coach of Oklahoma State.

Gundy led the Cowboys to a Big 12 Championship in 2011, had eight seasons in which Oklahoma State won ten games or more and was a three time recipient of the Big 12 coach of the year. Gundy also won the final Bedlam matchup.
