Wright Recaps Bruin Football 2023
Bartlesville High head football coach Harry Wright joined us in studio to wrap up the 2023 football season for the Bruins. BHS fell to Deer Creek in the second round of the 6A-II Postseason this past Friday, 35-7.
Deer Creek moves on to face Muskogee in the semifinals tomorrow in Ponca City.
Wright says after a few days of reflection about the game, he thinks Bartlesville’s start set it up for failure against the Antlers.
On paper there are a lot of similarities between this Bruin season and the 2022 campaign. BHS will finish with the same record and will have lost in the same round of the playoffs. However, anyone who paid attention to the scores knows that Bartlesville was many times more competitive with the best in the state.
Wright talks about raising the bar.
