Bartlesville's Boys and Girls Club unveiled the design for its new C. J. "Pete" Silas Boys and Girls Club Facility Tuesday afternoon.  Capital Campaign Co-Chair Glenn Cox announced that the local club is within a million dollars of its seven-million dollar goal to complete the project.

The new Club will be built at 5th and Seminole behind the existing building.

The Club plans to break ground on the new 30-thousand square foot building and artificial turf multi-purpose playing field this fall.  Plans call for the new facility to begin operations with the 2017-18 school year.

The club received a million dollar challenge grant from the Mabee Foundation.  Cox reached out to you to help raise another million dollars to bring the campaign to its conclusion.

A number of club members were seated in front of the lectern to see the new building unveiled.  Resource Development Director Annah Fischer says the excitement was in the air.

The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation is involved in the design and construction of the playing field.  Ambler Architects designed the building.  McAnaw Construction is the project manager.
