A Bartlesville man who is accused of leading Bartlesville police officers on a high speed chase last month, has a preliminary hearing scheduled for June 9th.  39-year old Arthur Chad Virden is charged with eluding, running of road block, knowingly withholding stolen property, knowingly concealing stolen property, unauthorized use of a vehicle, driving with a suspended license, and possession of paraphernalia.

A Bartlesville police officer was driving near Adams and Wyandotte and noticed a vehicle didn't have headlights on.  According to a court affidavit, the officer conducted a traffic stop when the vehicle slowed down and sped away.  The pursuit stared on Adams Blvd. and ended on 4000 Road.  Reportedly, speeds were around 100 mph.  Officers checked the license plate and learned the vehicle belonged to another person.  The authorities also learned that Virden's license was suspended.  The affidavit states that the police found inside the vehicle a small glass tube.

Bond remains at $50,000.
