The Dewey Bulldoggers clinched a playoff berth Thursday evening with a 58-10 victory over the Verdigris Cardinals.  The Cardinals scored on their opening drive with a 38 yard field goal and led 3-0.  After that, it was all Dewey as they scored their next three possessions.  Dewey led 32-3 at halftime and scored 26 points in the second half to secure the win.  The Doggers finished with 641 yards of total offense.  But it was the defense that was impressive as they gave up 200 yards.

Dewey's quarterback Blake Timmons went 7 of 14 passing for 147 yards and two touchdowns.  Timmons also ran the ball well as he rushed for 102 yards and scored a touchdown.  Hunter Brewer had an outstanding evening as he rushed for 262 yards and four touchdowns.

Dewey improves to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in district play.  The Doggers will next play Claremore-Sequoyah on Friday, October 28th at Dewey.  Kickoff is set for 7 P.M.
