Formal arraignments were passed for three co-defendants charged in the August 2018 murder of Gregg Meidl. Legal counsel for T.J. Donaldson, Thomas Alexander and Tyler Thomison made appearances at the Washington County Courthouse.

The suggestion to pass came from Judge Russell Vaclaw because counsel for all three parties did not have copies of motions pertaining to the case.

Special judge Jared Sigler found probable cause during a preliminary hearing in December 2018. Meidl’s wife and son were among the witnesses called to testify.

Court affidavits allege the trio was out trying to burglarize unlocked vehicles when Meidl confronted Donaldson who allegedly fired one shot at Meidl. He was pronounced dead on the scene due to a gunshot wound to the head.

Donaldson and Alexander will next appear for formal arraignment on March 13 at 9:00 a.m. Thomison will appear on March 13 at 1:30 p.m.
