One person is dead and another was admitted to the hospital as a result of a Thursday afternoon accident on State Highway 10 about a mile east of Copan.  The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that a car driven by 52 year-old Khristy Cosby of Copan was westbound on 10.  A second car driven by  36 year-old John Boles of Independence was southbound on U.S. 75.  Cosby failed to yield and Boles hit her car broadside.  Cosby died at the scene.  Boles was not injured but his passenger, 29 year-old Michael Mayer of Dewey was taken to Jane Phillips Medical center.  Mayer was then transported to St. John Hospital in Tulsa where he was admitted in good condition with head injuries. Cosby was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
