Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant, Drug Possession

An early Monday morning incident led to the arrest of a Bartlesville man. 32-year-old Ronald Dyer appeared before a judge at the Washington County Courthouse facing a possession of amphetamine with intent to distribute charge. Dyer also faced a smuggling contraband into prison charge Monday.
According to an affidavit, an officer noticed Dyer walking across Brentwood and Cumberland. The officer arrested Dyer for an outstanding municipal warrant. A search of Dyer revealed a folded brown paper bag. Inside, the officer observed 8 individual plastic baggies containing methamphetamine.
Upon arrival at the Washington County Jail, the detention staff located another clear plastic bag in a different pocket. Officers observed more methamphetamine. Combined, the bags weighed 7.2 grams. Bond for Dyer was set at $10,000 and he is to reappear in court on April 12 at 9 a.m.
