A groundbreaking ceremony was set in February for the highly anticipated Tower Center at Unity Square project. The space, designed by Ambler Architects, will unite Frank Lloyd Wright’s historic Price Tower Arts Center and the nearby Taliesin-designed Bartlesville Community Center.

Pricer Tower Executive Director Rick Loyd invites the public to the groundbreaking ceremony. He said the ceremony will be a community event because the space will be a community square.

A couple weeks ago the Tower Green Design Committee met and approved the 99-percent plans for the Tower Center at Unity Square project. Loyd was in attendance at that meeting and commended Scott Ambler and Ambler Architects for their graciousness as they offered their time, fees and services to the City of Bartlesville.

The new green area will feature an outdoor performance space, a revitalized fountain and a walkway through a landscape of regional plants, rocks and stone.

The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for Friday, March 29th for the new urban green space coming to Bartlesville. The event will take place at 11:30 AM on the corner of Silas Street and Osage Avenue. Oklahoma Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell will be a special guest for the event as well.
