The Bartlesville Civitan Club President Toni Harjo says the Club is looking for nominations for their 2nd annual Civitan Club Servant's Heart Award. She says they are looking for you to nominate caregivers that make a difference in the community.

Last year 5 to 6 caregivers were nominated and recognized for their service in the community. She said this is a great opportunity to recognize those who normally receive no recognition for their services. On the applications you submit, the Civitan Club asks that you give a detailed report on what the nominee does, who they serve, how long they have served and more.

Civitan International has its headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama and they started the Servant’s Heart Award program last year. The Bartlesville Civitan Club will give away the award on April 18th at the Bartlesville Senior Center. Nomination applications need to be submitted to Harjo by April 8 th. Anyone that was nominated last year can be nominated this year.

The Servant's Heart Award is a celebration of the unsung heroes who support families and individuals who are affected by intellectual and development disabilities. Potential nominees include teachers, paraprofessionals, vocational teachers or a group of these individuals.
