The cause of a fire at Coffeyville’s Family Dollar Thursday evening is under investigation.  Fire Captain Rex Reardon of the Coffeyville Fire Department says the cause of the fire is  undetermined at this time.  

All Coffeyville units and off-duty fire personnel responded to fight the blaze along with firefighters from South Coffeyville. Traffic on 11th Street was down to one lane in each direction during the 5:00pm hour as fire fighters worked to extinguish the fire.  

Reardon says the fire was confined to the west end of the store however, extensive smoke and water damage was visible throughout the building.  No damage estimates are available at this time.
