The Washington County Assessor's Office gave their input on bids for real estate appraisal for their statutory visual inspection program to the County Commissioners on Monday.

Commissioner Mitch Antle said this is a service they are not required to bid for, but sometimes they bid on the service anyway. He said they do this in hopes of getting a better price on services the County needs.

Two bids came in for the statutory visual inspection program in Washington County. One bid was from Arkansas CAMA Technology out of Fayetteville, Arkansas in the amount of $93,500. The other bid came from Total Assessment Solutions Corporation who is also based out of Arkansas for $99,000.

The County has used TASC for the past four years and Assessor Todd Mathes said they have experienced the good and the bad with them. He said they have never worked with ACT before, but said they have researched them and have heard great things about corporation from other counties.

Ultimately, Arkansas CAMA Technology won the bid to perform the statutory visual inspection services in Washington County.
