The Nowata County Commissioners held a brief meeting on Monday morning. The commissioners had an item on the agenda for the fiscal year 2020-2021 budget. The commissioners had previously approved three month appropriations that expire on Monday.

CPA Bill Turner was supposed to be in attendance. Turner could not be reached by phone during the meeting so the item was tabled. Nowata County Treasurer was concerned about the estimated ad valorum tax being too high in the recommendations.

District two commissioner Doug Sonenberg was absent from the meeting. However, a resolution to appoint Jacki Holtz as the receiving officer for district two was approved.
