Commissioners Declare this Week as 4-H Week

Washington County 4-H Member Brayden Adcock and Emma Lewis, and Extension Educator Jenifer Harbour, presented a proclamation to the Washington County Commissioner on Monday to declare this week National 4-H Week.
Lewis read part of the proclamation, saying the Washington County 4-H is proud to honor the Oklahoma 4-H Youth Development program of the Cooperative Extension Service for 111 years of experience based for youth in the State of Oklahoma.
Adcock read part of the proclamation as well. Adcock said the Oklahma 4-H program is truly as old as Oklahoma itself. He said it has a rich tradition of developing positive role models in the state and nation while continuing to develop character and instill values through innovative educational programs.
The Washington County Commissioners approved the proclamation for National 4-H Week to be held from Sunday, Oct. 4th through Saturday, Oct. 10th.
