Commissioners Approve On-Call Service Agreement, More

An agreement for on-call services with Benchmark Construction Services, LLC was approved by the Washington County Commissioners on Monday morning.
District One Commissioner Mitch Antle said he spoke with Benchmark’s Bobby Williams about the agreement leading up to Monday’s decision. He said Williams and Benchmark showed interest in getting an agreement going.
Washington County currently has on-call agreements with Guy Engineering and Kellogg Enginnering. Commissioner Mike Dunlap said Benchmark Construction Services is the firm that worked on the Bevan Creek Bridge Project on North 4000 Road between West 3600 and West 3700 Roads in Washington County. He said they do excellent work and that he was happy to have had the bridge completed by June of this year.
A resolution regarding the Northeast Oklahoma Workforce Development Board of Local Elected Officials was discussed by the Washington County Commissioners on Monday morning.
Commissioner Mitch Antle explained the resolution. He said he asked all the other seven counties in northeast Oklahoma to pass a similar resolution in their regular meetings so they would have the weight of 21 Commissioners talking to the State of Oklahoma at one time as opposed to just seven Commissioners.
The resolution would be approved by the Washington County Board of Commissioners.
