BRUW Helps Over 50 Non-Profits with Help from Phillips 66

This year has been a really tough year for so many people in our community with COVID-19 coming through.
Bartlesville Regional United Way CEO Lisa Carey said on Monday's COMMUNITY CONNECTION that he fact that BRUW was able to distribute COVID grants earlier in the year really show how we can all come together to support those who need our help in our community.
According to Carey, BRUW was able to distribute over $340,000 to over 50 nonprofits in our communities thanks to a donation from Phillips 66. Those grants were able to help provide 46,000 area individuals with groceries and hot meals and 7,500 students with support for virtual learning. Carey says that hopefully BRUW will only have to do these grants this year, but again, she just wants to thank Phillips 66 and their generosity. Without their support, BRUW would not have been able to help as many people and organizations as they did.
President of the Bartlesville Regional United Way board of directors David Austin thanked all the companies that hosted an internal campaign this year. These internal campaigns make up a huge percentage of the funds raised for our campaign and this year they really stepped up their giving.
Katie Zaun acknowledged the following companies who ran internal campaigns: Arvest, AEP/PSO, American Heritage Bank, Ascension St. Johns, Bancfirst, Bartlesville Public Schools, Bartlesville Radio, Chevron Phillips, ConocoPhillips, Ernst & Young, Green Country Village, One Gas, Phillips66, Quiktrip, Regent Bank, Stotts, Archambo, & Mueggenborg, Stride Bank, Tri-County Tech, Truity Credit Union, and Zachry.
