The Nowata Ironmen will make their road trip on Tuesday to square off with Barnsdall. The Ironmen are fresh off a heartbreaking overtime loss to Oklahoma Union on Saturday night in the finals of the Ty Hewitt Memorial Tournament.

Nowata put together a strong showing on the week going 2-1 to start its season. Gary Hollingshead is glad his team played its scheduled games after having to bump back their opener by one week due to opponents contracting COVID-19. Hollingshead speaks on the fragile nature of the season.

Senior Mark Price is averaging 22.6 points per game through the first three games. The Ironmen will get the chance to play a solid Panthers team to test themselves early on. Barnsdall is 0-2 so far Nowata won both matchups by 20+ points last season.

Radio coverage for the boy’s game can be heard on KRIG 104.9 FM at 6:15 P.M. The girl's game has been cancelled according to Barnsdall coach Wade Corder.
