Bartlett Co-op Explains Propane Supply Scenarios

Tom Davis
The cold snap is creating a a greater demand on propane.

Perry Sorrell with Bartlett Co-op talked to us about the propane situation on Monday. Sorell said the supply is thinning, but Bartlett Co-op has not had any problems yet. He said they are concerned about the sudden demand warning that at any time there is strong demand, the prices tend to go up.

Sorrell says they hate seeing price increases in situations like this and that if that they have to raise prices when people are hurting. Sorrell said their margin perentages are are also less if and when that happens.

Bartlett Co-op is also the presenting sponsor of the Interstate Farm and Home Show March 26-27 at Nellis Hall on the campus at Coffeyville Community College.

Bartlett Co-op Mission Statement

We will provide high quality goods and services to the communities in which we operate in a competitive and efficient manner that enhances the economic wellbeing of our members and the co-op. -Board of Directors

We are an agricultural co-operative, based in Bartlett, KS. We are owned by you, our patrons, and our goal has always been to serve you with pride.

The Bartlett Co-op Association was established in April of 1950. The farmers need for a service station led us to build one at our Bartlett location which was completed in 1965. Our Co-op grew in 1966 when we purchased the Edna location. Again, feeling a need for growth, the Oswego location was acquired in 1984.  Continuing with our growth, we added the Mound Valley location to our expanding business in 1987. In 1990 the Bartlett City Grocery Store became available, and was added to our ever growing business. We welcomed our Chetopa location into our Co-op family in 1998.  Our grocery store moved from downtown Bartlett into our service station in 1999, which rounded out our Bartlett location. At that time, we added a grill to our grocery store which boosted our food sales.

Today in the twenty-first century, we still operate our business the way our ancestors began it. You, the patrons, come first. Our goal is still to serve you with pride and offer the highest quality and/or best value products and services you have come to expect from us.

Customer service is our #1 priority, so we love to help you. We offer a wide range of products and services for your benefit.

Welcome to Bartlett Co-op
