Bartlesville City Manager Mike Bailey, HR Director Laura Sanders, Library Director Shelli McGill, Education Director Betty Keim and Museum Coordinator Delaney Chidester appeared on COMMUNITY CONNECTION on Monday to provide and update on city issues.

 

City Manager Mike Bailey reviewed many of the top issues over the past few weeks including the appointment of former vice-mayor Alan Gengtes to municpal judge and city councilor Jim Curd to vice-mayor and the search for a ward four city councilor to replace Gentges.

 

Bailey then announced the opening for the position of Bartlesville Fire Chief due to the retirement of Chief John Banks. HR Director Laura Sanders explained the process and the use of an outside service, Strategic Government Resources, to find qualified recruits.

 

Bailey then brought up a few of the projects in the works around the city including the work on Hillcrest Drive and the water line replacement work on Frank Phillips Boulevard.

 

Library Director Shellie McGill brought up some of the activities there for the spring season including Crafternoon.

 

Education Coordinator Betty Keim and Museum Coordinator Delaney Chidester remnded families that a new, fun and educational scavenger hunt event begins soon, Search the Ville,  and reminded us what a treasure we have at the Bartlesville Area History Museum.
