Appearing on COMMUNITY CONNECTION, Bartlesville City Manager Mike Bailey gave us an update in those Lime and Bird Scooters zipping around town. Bailey reminded listeners that there are rules for scooter riders.
Bailey says you will get a suprise if you ride the scooters on the sidewalks at Phillips 66 and Conoco Phillips.
Bailey says the scooters are also prohibited in the Truity parking ramp.
Also appearing on COMMUNITY CONNECTION, Bartlesville City CFO Jason Munninger gave us an update on local finances--and it was surpringinly good news as far as local sale tax collections.
According to Munninger, the City of Bartlesville is up about 2 percent over budget which equates to over a million dollars above budget at this time.
City Engineer Michah Siemers reminded motorists that the Frank Phillips Blvd from US 75 to Silver Lake Drive will have workers present for several months replacing the old water line and that there will be road construction taking place on Hillcrest.
Other business brought up in the show included finding a replacement for for citiy councilor Alan Gentges who resigned to become a municipal judge and the reminder that the April 6 election for the extension of the 1/4-cent BDA sales tax.
