New Portion of Highway 60 Opens, Construction Continues

While construction continues on the stretch of Highway 60 east of the City of Bartlesville to the Washington and Nowata County line, a new portion of the roadway is open to traffic at this time.
Commuters will still notice marked construction speed zones in the area. Two-way traffic is still permitted. The $16-million project has centered on replacing the bridge of Hogshooter Creek, which is complete.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation project is expected to be completed by spring 2021. ODOT closed New Harmony Road, also known as North 4015 Road, on Friday to allow road construction to make necessary grade adjustments to the intersection with Highway 60.
Those needing to get to New Harmony Road will be detoured to Bison Road via West 2200 road. Detour signs have been posted in the affected areas.
