Dewey's McDaniel Picks Up Local Offer

Dewey's Cheyan McDaniel has picked up a local offer from Oklahoma Wesleyan University. The Lady Bulldoggers basketball star has been one of the most talented players in the Northeast Valley Conference over the past several years.
McDaniel led the Lady Doggers to a 9-14 record last season. The Class of 2022 star also plays for Team Griffin Elite on the AAU circuit. McDaniel's squad won a tournament in Orlando, Florida last month.
OKWU head coach Grace Hadley have cast a wide net in recruiting, offering several in state players. McDaniel becomes the first player from Washington County to pick up an offer from the Lady Eagles. OKWU went 12-14 on the hardwood last season.
Would love to thank @GraceHadley1 for the call this morning and the staff at OKWU! So glad I get to consider a college close to home! @shannonbrown217 @okmagiccoach @TaneishaAeschl1 pic.twitter.com/igIhc7Slb2— Cheyan Mcdaniel (@CheyanMcdaniel) August 9, 2021
