The Nowata County Commissioners met for a regularly scheduled meeting on Monday morning. The Commissioners awarded bid for rock material.

Lease purchase paperwork was also signed for a 2021 John Deere Motor Grader for district 2 was signed. This replaces a 2016 grader that was swapped out by Yellowhouse Machinery. Also, 2015 Mack Pull Truck had its agreement signed for district 2 as well.

Emergency management director Laurie Summers presented a memorandum of understanding pertaining to humanitarian aid support from local agencies. Summers wants to have agreements in place with local churches or community centers in the event of an emergency.

The board tabled the item until next week. The commissioners wanted to get a generic memorandum of understanding instead of specific ones for each potential site.
