Appearing on CITY MATTERS on Monday, City Manager Mike Bailey recapped last week's city council meeting highlighting the donation of land a facilities from ConocoPhillips for the Bartlesville Muicipal Airport and the Herasoft employee moving incentives.
 
Bartlesville city government has been patiently negotiating with the union representing our Bartlesville firefighters over the past several weeks. Bartlesville city manager Mike Bailey says he is hopeful and agreement and be reached before arbitration in late October.
 
Engineering and Water Utilities Director Terry Lauritsen joined to conversation to say that the water pipe project along Frank Phillips Blvd. should wrap up in about 6 weeks. He said there would likely be small periodic interruptions in water service for those along the project, but they will be notified when those instances will be scheduled to occur.
 
CFO/City Clerk Jason Muninger then announced on CITY MATTERS that the city of Bartlesville hit a new sales taxes collection record for September with $1.86 million taken in.
 
City Engineer Micah Seimers announced that improvements to the Pathfinder are in the making and that the design process for the Shawnee Street sidewalk is in the early stages. When completed, there will be a sidewalk on Shawnee from Kane Elementary School all the way to Bartlesville High School.
