As of 3:45 p.m. the leak has been fixed per the City of Nowata.

Nowata Public Schools sent all students home on Monday after it was discovered that the school and surrounding area did not have water. Nowata Public Schools superintendent Chris Tanner explains the situation.

The district learned of the situation and posted on social media just after 11 a.m. Tanner has been informed that the leak should be fixed by the end of the day. The district asks that you contact your child’s school principal for more information.

Due to the situation tonight’s middle school football game has been cancelled.
