Two Injured in a Rogers County Crash

Two people were inujured in a collision on Wednesday at approximately 3:30pm on OK-88 at county road 445, 3 miles north of Claremore, OK in Rogers County.
A 2017 Toyota driven by Brittany Rekieta, 28, of Oologah, was northbound on OK-88. A 2021 Hyundai driven by Nathan Burt, 27, of Claremore, was northbound on OK-88, behind the Toyota. The Toyota slowed to turn west onto county road 445. The driver of the Hyunai did not slow in time, striking the Toyota. After the impact,the Hyundai departed roadway left and the Toyota departed roadway to the right.
Burt ws transported by Air Evac to Saint John’s Hospital, inTulsa, and was admitted in stable condition with trunk internal injuries.
Rekieta was transported by OTEMS to Saint John’s Hospital, in Tulsa, where she was reated and released.
OHP says inattentive driving was the cause of the collision.
