The Ramona community is stepping up to support a firefighter that recently suffered a heart attack.

Ramona Fire Chief Tyson Kincaide says this member of their team went through a successful surgery but he will not be able to work for a few weeks. Kincaide says the community's support has been good. He says they have had plenty of prayers and people stepping up to provide funds to help with bills for the family.

If you wish to make a monetary donation to help the family of this Ramona firefighter, you can call Chief Kincaide at 918.857.5294. You can call Ramona Assistant Fire Chief Kenneth Haberly at 918.338.9584 as well.

Local Boy Scouts have organized a meal train to help the firefighter's family at this time. To register to prepare a meal, click here. You can call Dee-Ann Lynd about the meal train effort at 918.504.3034.

Chief Kincaide says any and all help will surely be greatly appreciated by the family.
