Tom Davis
A Winter Storm Watch will be in effect for Washington, Osage and Nowata Counties from Wednesday at 6am until Thursday at 6pm.
The winter weather system heading our way Wednesday morning through Thursday afternoon will feature the possibility of heavy mixed wintry precipitation. Total sleet and snow accumulations of up to around one inch and ice accumulations of around one half of an inch are possible possible.
The National Weather Service says power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice at that travel could be nearly impossible.
We can expect at least two rounds of wintry precipitation Wednesday morning through Thursday afternoon. Sleet and freezing rain are expected to be the most impactful precipitation types with light snow also possible in some areas.
