Governor Kevin Stitt will held a press conference in the Blue Room at the Oklahoma State Capitol to discuss a major economic development opportunity that would make a generational impact on Oklahoma’s future.

 

He made no mention of a specific company but he did, as Senator Julie Daniels did on on CAPITOL CALL by referring to it as a mega-mega package.

 

Prior to the address, Governor praised recent partnerships with electric vehicle company Canoo and German tech company Northern Data who announced, in March, that they will build a new headquarters in Oklahoma.

 

Bartlesville Radio has learned that Panasonic has been scouting U.S. sites for a mew Tesla battery factory and the company is eyeing locations in Oklahoma and Kansas.

 

Several weeks ago, Kanasas legislators quickly passed legislation in order to court the "unnamed business" to their state. 

 

Stitt, in his address on Monday, asked Oklahoma legislature to pass a bundle of bills to allow this project to move forward claiming that landing this deal will make Oklahoma a top 10 state.
