Arvest Foundation Contributes $5,500 to Elder Care

The Arvest Foundation recently announced a $5,500 donation to Elder Care. Arvest Wealth Management trust officer Aaron Tesavis presented the check to Elder Care executive director Cordell Rumsey and Foundation Physical Therapy director Josh Lindblom.
“We are happy to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation,” said Tesavis. “We appreciate the valuable services Elder Care offers to help older adults in our community maintain their independence.”
The funds will support the purchase of a Reflexion mobile touchscreen used for neuro training to assist participants with Parkinson’s disease as well as those who are participating in physical or speech therapy. The touchscreen lightboard tracks changes in neuro-cognitive skills and can be incorporated into existing training and recovery plans.
“With the addition of the Reflexion lightboard to our Brain Gains program, more senior adults will benefit from cognitive exercises,” said Rumsey. “This lightboard will be used with our Foundation Therapy Specialists outpatient therapy, PWR! Moves, and independent After Care programs. We are grateful to the Arvest Foundation for making it possible for senior adults to improve and strengthen their cognitive health at Elder Care.”
The Arvest Foundation seeks to provide funding to grantees who are actively working to create positive change for others. Major areas of focus include: K-12 education, economic development, and enhancing the quality of life throughout the Arvest footprint.
