A Skiatook woman was arrested on Saturday facing allegations of child neglect. Sarah Abbitt was charged with one felony count during an arraignment at the Washington County Courthouse on Tuesday.

According to an affidavit, a witness reported that Abbitt left her two children to wander alone at a hotel on the 2100 block of Washington Boulevard in Bartlesville. The witness said Abbitt was “not in the right mind” and was walking around the hotel with only a t-shirt on.

Officers met with both children. Neither were wearing any clothes and both children had full diapers. Officers made contact with the defendant in her hotel room which smelled of alcohol, vomit and urine. It is alleged that Abbitt was hallucinating while talking to officers.

DHS examined the children on the scene. They observed bruising on the back leg of one of the children. Also, while packing up their belongings officers found a vyvanse pill in the children’s bag. Bond for Abbitt was set at $25,000.
