Delaware Tribe to Vote on Constitution Amendment

Garrett Giles
The Delaware Tribal Council unanimously approves a resolution to put an amendment before eligible Delaware Tribe voters that would make the role of Assistant Chief an elected position if passed.
The passage of the resolution authorizes the Delaware Tribe of Indians Election Board to place the question on the November ballot for a vote. If approved by voters, Sections 3 and 4 in Article VI of the Tribe's constitution would be amended to read that the position of Assistant Chief is an elected role.
