At its regular meeting on Tuesday (Sept 6, 2022), the Dewey City Council allocated ARPA funding to three projects:

Approval was made to pay for the engine replacement on the 2007 International 4400 Pumper used by the fire department. The amount is undisclosed at this time due to the need to secure the part first and to determine who will install it.

$19,500 was approved for the City of Dewey and the Public Works Department to us as bonuses to compensate both full-time and part-time employees who wor during COVID outbreaks in essential positions. The bonuses will be issued in increments of $500 for full-time and $250 for part-time employees on a quarterly basis after the work is completed.

And a little over $25,000 was approved to purchase new digital radios, a second AED machine, and an additional pumper for the Dewey Volunteer Fire Department.
