CITY MATTERS 7-24-23

The Bartlesville City water supply is at 76%. The splash pads and Frontier Pool are open.
Appearing on City Matters, Bartlesville City Water Utilities Director Terry Lauritsen was asked if the upcoming stretch of 100-degree weather could undo the good things the recent rains have brung.
Lauritsen said, "No. Hulah Lake is still receiving inflow and the hot dry weather is normal for this time of year. The real indicators will come if we don't receive our normal fall rains and have another dry winter."
The good news is that the Public Works Department, under director Keith Henry, was able to get the splash pads up and working and that, with the help of the YMCA, Frontier Pool is ready for use.
City Engineer Micah Siemers said repairs to the shade structure at Civitan Park have been delayed due to the recent rainy weather. He sees Wednesday as the start date of the project.
