The Osage County Sheriff’s Office has announced a new upgrade to the County Jail that will improve the safety and productivity of the jail’s operations.

JWC Environmental has produced a new, state of the art plumbing grinder designed for jails and prisons that will help address the issue of inmates flushing prohibited items down the toilet. The “Muffin Monster” is designed to shred items such as jail clothing, bed sheets, socks filled with paper and mattress stuffing.

The Osage County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank Dave Lynd for installing the grinder, members of the District One staff for Osage County and Jail Trustees. The Sheriff’s Office reminds the public that safety is their top priority.
