A Bartlesville man was arrested on Saturday afternoon on the charge of domestic abuse by simple assault. Johnny Russell is accused of throwing the victim out of their car. According to an affidavit, Russell and the victim were in Dewey when Russell allegedly grabbed the victim and pulled them out of the car.

When police arrived, they spoke with both Russell and the victim. Russell openly admitted to police that he had thrown the victim from the vehicle. He was then placed under arrest and taken to the Washington County Jail.

He is currently being held over on a $2500 bond and is ordered to have no contact with the victim in this case. His next court date is set for September 6^th.
