The first several days of the new school year at Bartlesville Public Schools have gone rather well, according to Bartlesville Public Schools Supt. Chuck McCauley.
Appearing on COMMUNITY CONNECTION, McCauley said the heat has been a minor problem in some of the school buildings, but all has been corrected. He even reminded listeners that the schol buses are air-conditioned.
McCauley talked about the ATLAS program for struggling students and the addtitional help and resources for high school freshmen with On the Rock Ministries.
The school board this week approved raises for incoming teachers at $3000 per year and current teachers and up to $6000 per year as a part of the school funding measures passed by the state legislature and signed by Gov Stitt.
