Washington County Commissioner Mike Dunlap was our guest on COMMUNITY CONNECTION on Friday.

Commissioner Dunlap said the revenues for the county have been very good the past few years. So much so that the commissioners have be able to take care of several facility projects at the same time. Some include the air and heating systems at the Washington County Jail, the courthouse and the administration buildings.

Dunlap feels he has accomplished much with getting the bridges in his district--47--repaired. The Commissioner said hes down to his final two bridge projects to be at 100%.

The possibility of building a new expo complex and fairgrounds in Washington County has been in the works for some time. Washington County Commissioner Mike Dunlap said on COMMUNITY CONNECTION that he remains doubtful of such a complex coming into play any time soon. He cited all the facilities in nearby Tusla, a new big hotel and conference center being built just west of town and the new mega theme park going up in Vinita.
